Since 1991, Lake Country Vacation Rentals has been offering private home vacation rentals on the lake, beside the river, in the mountains and along the golf course, surrounded by the astounding Blue Ridge Mountains and Chimney Rock State Park.
We are a “boutique vacation business” whose goal is to provide our guests with an outstanding vacation experience. While many of the homes we offer are some of the most outstanding homes in our area and offer top of the line amenities and furnishing, we also offer a good selection of clean and comfortable homes designed for casual family time and affordability. Regardless of which home you choose, our promise is to provide you with a clean, well maintained and cared for vacation property. We will be happy to recommend dining options, sightseeing trips, assist with boat rentals, provide information on areas of interests, arrange for floral or gift baskets, or direct you to the many and varied activities available in our area.
Our “Clean House Guarantee” assures that if cleaning is not to your satisfaction, we will be there to remedy it within two hours or we will credit your account, $100.00, provided we receive your call before 7:00 PM on the day of check-in. Calls received after 7:00 PM will be addressed the next morning.
Although we make every effort to keep all equipment, appliances and furnishings in good working order, it is possible that a malfunction of some item may occur during your stay. Once reported, we work hard to get your vacation back on track as soon as possible. Our maintenance contractors will immediately place the appropriate service request, call you back with a status report, and stay in touch until the service is complete.
All beds are provided with clean sanitized sheets. We make all beds with the exception of bunk beds and sleeper sofas. -Sheets are provided. Two Personal Towel Sets are provided for each person up to the maximum occupancy. A kitchen towel, two dish cloths, and a minimum starter supply of two rolls of toilet paper and two bars of soap per bath are also supplied. We also provide clean rags, and some cleaning supplies in each home so that if there is a spill or accident, you will have what you need to keep your rental home clean.
We provide our guests with a 24 hour, 7 day a week guest emergency line to handle any real emergencies that might occur during your stay. Examples of real emergencies are: total loss of power, sewer or septic back-up, loss of water, fallen trees with property damage or blocking a driveway. If we can’t get your emergency resolved within 24 hours, and we have a home available, we will move you to a comparable property. If we do not have a comparable property, then we will allow and early check out and refund the balance of your stay. We do not however, give rebates or refunds for any maintenance or emergency issue beyond our stated policy. We also provide contact numbers for area police, fire and 911.
Non-emergency calls are handled during normal business hours.
In the unlikely event that you lock yourself out of your home, we promise to get you back into your home quickly. Depending upon the circumstance, a service call fee of $45.00 may apply.
Best of all, returning guests in good standing and who complete the survey at the end of their stay, are afforded the opportunity to book the next year’s vacation at this year’s rate and receive an extra 10% discount for all seasons other than PRIME, so long as next year’s property is reserved prior to check-out.
Regardless of when you book, we appreciate our “Good Guests” and will extend a 10% discount (please complete survey) off of any of our homes for a future stay other than PRIME season.
